Sunny Sunday (1-26-25)

blog

I took a quick pause from making our lunches for the week to post in here. I’ve been feeling pretty bleh lately, but luckily I am aware that this feeling isn’t going to last forever. Today I’m still doing what I need to do to set myself up for the week, and for that I am proud.

I purposely made zero plans this weekend just to use it as a reset, and it has been exactly that. Yesterday my husband and I went out for a breakfast date and grabbed a few necessities from Walmart, but we spent our Saturday night in hanging out together. This morning we slept in and then went out and grabbed some Starbucks!

Spending time with my husband and just being in our home is such a blessing, and I am grateful for this life of ours. Wishing everyone a happy Sunday filled with blessings and love! 🤍✨

Weekend Thoughts and Affirmations

blog

I have been on a social media break since the beginning of December. One of the accounts I really liked on Instagram has an email signup where they send daily affirmations, so I had signed up over a year ago and I continue to get them. Todays affirmation from Moon Omens was as follows:

“I trust that what is meant

for me is on its way. I am in

alignment with my life path.

I embrace the unknown.

I choose love over fear.”

I definitely needed this today, as I have just been in a little funk with this winter season. I also have been dealing with different health conditions like flu, uti and possible tonsillitis. We also had to take one of our cats to the vet yesterday, so today we will get results from her blood and urine. I’ve just been feeling a bit overwhelmed and when I read this I resonated with it. I figured I also can take this and put my own personal twist on it:

I trust that what is meant for me is on its way; I am allowed to release all of my worries and let go of control.

I am in alignment with my life path, even when I am not feeling 100% myself, I can trust this is all happening for me and a higher plan.

I embrace the unknown, and lean in with curiosity. This had me immediately think of another other quote I stumbled upon recently that says “The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing.” I am allowed to dive into the unknown and let go of the need to appear smart or perfect.

I choose love over fear. I think we’ve all heard the phrase “the only thing to fear is fear itself,” and that is because if you let it, fear can completely take you over. I’d much prefer to live a life where I see through a lens of love and compassion rather than fear and hatred.

I’m using this weekend as a reset. I want to get back in a good headspace and focus on my goals- I am honestly very excited for it. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Sending extra love and positive vibes to everyone!

Monday 11/11

blog

Good morning and Happy Monday/ November 11! I slept a bit longer than planned this morning, but before I stretch and get ready for work I just wanted to set some intentions and focus on the blessings around me.

Today is a new day with new opportunities, may I be calm and present enough to see them all around me.

May I remain centered in my own peace and abundance, while quieting any outside noise that pulls me out of alignment.

My health is my priority; I feel so blessed to have access to exercise equipment as well as healthy food. I am also blessed to have my angels and guides assisting me in my health journey.

May I stay focused on the blessings and beauty that is my life, never taking for granted all of the love around me.

May today be filled with synchronicities and guided messages from our angels, and may we be aware enough to receive them.

May my eyes allow me to see what I need to see, may my ears allow me to hear what I need to hear, and may my heart be open to all of the kindness and joy in the world.

Happy Sunday / Gratitude Check

blog

This Sunday has been so relaxing and I have been soaking in the precious life that I live. My husband and I treated ourselves to some nice pedicures to celebrate his birthday early (he turns 30 on Wednesday)! We’ve been enjoying the cloudy day by taking it slow- soon we will be going to his parents’ home for family dinner. I just wanted to check in and list some of the things I have been grateful for recently:

-my respectful, loving husband

-our beautiful home that has everything we need

-fancy pedicures

-iced coffee

-our financial situation

-our jobs

-good music

-podcasts

-comfortable sweatpants/sweatshirts

-netflix

-genuinely supportive friends

-quality family time

Life will always present challenges, which is why it is important to take time to appreciate the good parts. Sending love and positive vibes to everyone this beautiful Sunday.

Sunday Card Pull

Deck: Gabby Bernstein’s “The Universe Has Your Back”

Take a moment to tune into the energy of love. When is a time where you felt the warmth in your heart? A time where your cheeks hurt because you couldn’t stop smiling? Was it during the holidays? At a concert? On a hike? Tap into that feeling, and sit with it. Let that feeling wash over your entire body, from your crown to your toes. Soak it in so deeply that you take this loving energy with you today, spreading it to any and all who come your way.

The world always needs more love, start with yourself. 💖

Leaning In

blog

Lean in to faith.

Release anxieties and fears.

The weight of the world is not meant for you to hold.

Trust that all is happening for you, not to you.

We’re only visiting, all is temporary.

Have you really lived? Or have you been hindered by fear?

If you died tomorrow- what would you regret not doing here on earth?

Are you future thinking? Are you stuck in the past?

How much of your time is spent in the present moment?

Tired, Happy, Present

blog

Yesterday my fiancé and I had our joint bach/engagement party with our friends! We went go-karting and had some friends back to the house after for some drinks and yummy mini bundt cakes! Everyone who couldn’t make it had told me to take pictures and have fun, and I definitely only did one of those things!

I only got a couple photos at the racetrack, and none had me in it LOL, but I’m happy with how everything turned out. My fiancé won first place, which I honestly expected with how much racing he does in VR and with set up he has in his office. I did not place overall which was expected LOL but I had a such a fun time and I am definitely sore as hell this morning.

Part of me wishes I got more photos, but the rest of me is so happy that I was just immersed in the experience and in the conversations with all of our friends there. It was nice to see everyone and just have some laughs and good food! I am so happy we were able to organize this event for us and our friends to celebrate before we get married in October!

Good morning, Wednesday

blog

It’s honestly incredible how much someone else’s energy can change ours. I woke up with a bit of anxiety, and as soon as I reached over to lay my hand on my sleeping fiancés back, it all washed away. I immediately felt relaxed and safe, as it reminded me that I am only right here in bed at this moment, next to the love of my life. Becoming grounded in the present moment often gives a sense of ease, as my intrusive thoughts tend to be about the future and losing the people I love the most. I know our time here is finite, so I use those thoughts to remind me to truly enjoy the here and now, and wrap myself in gratitude for what is. I am grateful for this life, and this love. Thank you.

Focus

blog

Today is a relaxing day, and I am enjoying some time alone while my fiancé plays his VR. I decided to do a card pull from Gabby Bernstein’s “The Universe Has Your Back” deck. Before I pulled the first card, I asked the universe to “show me what I need to know.” When I pulled the card, one I have pulled recently, I actually giggled.

After reading “The key to prayer is to forget what I think I need,” I immediately took that as a sign to just surrender and release expectations for the next pull. Normally I don’t even pull two cards, but I knew this time I was meant to. The second pull, also a familiar card to me, read: “I’m unapologetic about what I desire and trust that what I focus on will grow.” That was the card I needed.

I find myself not allowing myself to fall deeply into my desires out of fear of them not being able to be fulfilled. I don’t want to feel disappointed or upset when things don’t go as planned, but I also have to give myself credit where it’s due. I have been able to let go of control a lot more this year as I lean into my faith in the universe. I focus on being present in my life, which has brought so much peace and happiness, and I know that in the present is where I belong.

I feel so lucky to be where I am today. Years ago I dreamt about these peaceful days of hanging out with the love of my life in our beautiful home. I dreamt of the days where I didn’t have constant panic attacks or angry explosions. I dreamt of being able to just relax and do nothing without feeling guilty or unworthy of love. These are the very best days, and I know that I will have even better days ahead, but for now I am so grateful to be where I am.
