It’s been a while since I’ve done this and I remember how good it made me feel, so here are some things and I am grateful for today and why!
My husband. I’m so blessed to have such a respectful, loving, intelligent man as my life partner. He makes me feel loved and appreciated, and I am so grateful for all of the patience and support he has given me throughout the years.
Our home. It is truly a blessing to wake up with electricity, clean running water, appliances to wash clothes and keep groceries cold. We’re lucky we bought our home when we did and it’s a blessing to be able to afford our mortgage.
Iced coffee. This sounds like such a minuscule thing in life, yet it brings me so much joy. I love having a little treat that includes some caffeine, and I’m grateful we can afford this little luxury.
My job. I’m so happy to be in a job where I no longer have a toxic boss/manager, I am not micromanaged, and I bosses who actually ask for and listen to feedback. I am so glad I found this office and I plan to stay here for the long haul!
My health. I am able to walk, talk, eat, drive, use the bathroom, dance, and do a whole bunch of things without needing assistance, and that is a blessing. I’m grateful that my blood pumps and my lungs breathe all without me having to think about it.
There are soooo many things I could list, but I need to get ready for work! What are you feeling grateful for today?
Exhausted and grateful, that’s how I feel! Sun is shining, the moon was huuugeeee last night and this am!! Feeling extra charged up and like all is working out in the ether- just trusting in my angels and keeping the faith!
I’m absolutely exhausted after this fun weekend! I had my friend’s bachelorette party on Saturday, and today I went to my husband’s go-karting league! I am loving these fun memories I’m making and I’m excited for all that is to come of this month!
Tonight is one of my friends bachelorette parties!! I’m one of her bridesmaids so me and her maid of honor and another bridesmaid are going to decorate the hotel before the bride-to-be arrives, and then we’re gonna go out for a night at the bars! I’m honestly not super into going out anymore, but I love her and her friends are super nice too so I know it’ll be a good night!
Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.
I read this prompt and immediately thought of the few Caribbean cruises I’ve been on since those were definitely when I was furthest away from home. I have so many good memories of these cruises with my husband and his family, but one of my favorites is from when we went to Grand Turk. We did an all inclusive excursion that had unlimited rum and cokes, so my husband (boyfriend at the time), and I were determined to get our money’s worth LOL.
After we were done with the excursion, I wanted to grab a souvenir for one of my friends back home! We went into a shop and I grabbed a cute little container with sand and shells in it that said Grand Turk (I think?) and called it a day. Once we were back home and I was unpacking and getting all of the gifts together, I realized that the cute little souvenir I got for my friend had a name on it… and it 100% was NOT my friend’s name (LMFAO)!
Obviously I couldn’t just turn around and head back to the shop to grab a new item with her name on it, so I ended up having to give my friend that souvenir and explain to her why it said Katherine on it when her name is Alexis. 😂 Overall not the end of the world and is a hilarious story today, but I learned that I should definitely do my shopping when I am NOT intoxicated!
Went back to work today! I worked skipped lunch and just worked 7-2pm which was nice. I’m very grateful for my job and the flexibility I have with my schedule! I got all of the insurance checks in, my follow up calls done, and several pre-estimates called on, so it was a productive day for sure!
I’m glad I got some time to myself today- sometimes I really wish I could work remotely because I would be so much more productive if I didn’t have anyone bothering me at work. I’m always happy to be helpful with work stuff, but sometimes I feel like some people just want to vent and waste time.
What’s worse is no matter how much I don’t participate and tell this person to just stay out of it and focus on her own work or go talk to the bosses, she just keeps venting and telling me everything about her day. I don’t have any authority anyways, but I literally am always so much more productive when she isn’t there!
I have told the bosses a bit about her being distracting, and I’ve never pushed the work from home thing because I figured I’d want to ask for that privilege if/when it’s time to have children. I’m going to see how the rest of this year goes and maybe I’ll ask for a work from home day for 2026. Either way, I love my job and am grateful to have the job I do and I have to remember that!
Alright with that I’m off to enjoy my evening, but I wanted to share this cute little digital vision board I made with some images from Pinterest! I really like how it turned out!
