Good morning! I’m so happy to see the sun shining on this gorgeous day- a day of rest and resetting. Self care is on the list today- which includes a little bit of spoiling ourselves with some pedicures today. My husband and I haven’t had pedicures since November… LOL so we’re a bit overdue. I also wanted to get one before my girls trip coming up!
I’m also gonna pick up some groceries today and do my best to have a more nutritious week than I have been having lately, because I know my body deserves to be healthy and full of vitamins and nutrients. This part is always harder for me, but I am going to focus on small wins and keep reminding myself why I am doing this.
New moons are time for new intentions, and since we are no longer in eclipse season, the energy is much calmer. Plant those seeds that you wish to grow, and take time to nourish them. No rushing, no pushing- just trusting in the divine timing of it all. I am focusing on my physical and mental health, as well as how I can be more grounded- both in nature and in my own positive energy.
I saw my favorite Instagram page posted a couple prompts today in regards to communication, so I thought, why not answer those here on my blog? The reason for the post/prompts is because Mercury, the planet of communication, is transitioning into the sign of Aries. According to astrologers, this is a time for fierce and honest words from the heart to be unleashed unapologetically.
Here are the prompts from SistersVillage:
1. I have not started my podcast (or written my book for that matter) out of fear of hurting others…mainly family members. I know that harsh truths can be hard to hear, and the whole point of my podcast would be to tell my story as authentically and honestly as possible. It’s hard to bring up where my parents have had their faults, as I am not trying to shame them or make the whole rest of our family aware of their issues; but at the same time, I have overcome a lot in my life and I know that my journey could inspire others to keep going during hard times. There were many times in my younger years where I was lost and angry, and I often felt that I did not have role models, but instead I had people showing me the life I did not want to live. Luckily, I do not live that life anymore, but it took a lot of work and reflection to stop myself from becoming consumed in my trauma.
Okay, I have to pause for a second before I answer this next prompt because I just saw 5:55 on the clock and I am crying at the timing. 555 is the angel number for CHANGE! Talk about a synchronicity! I just feel so connected to my angels and the universe in this moment, so the pause is necessary. Call me delusional, but I’d rather get excited over numbers than sit here having anxious intrusive thoughts any day. Anyways, onto the next prompt!
2. Prompt two goes with number one: my podcast. I am holding myself back from my dreams, and have been for years now. The calling never goes away either, I basically think about it every day. I distract myself with scrolling and watching TV. I keep saying it isn’t the time or I don’t know how to start, but none of that is actually true. I am the only person in my way, and it’s about time that I stop holding myself back.
The eclipse is next Friday, and the chaotic energy is definitely here. I am working to stay grounded in my own energy and focused on the joy and blessings. All that is meant to be stirred up and chucked away is meant to go, and I am trusting in the universe’s plan.
My goals of healthy living align with my future self because I want to be able to travel and hike and keep up with my future children. I also want to have more healthy food options around for my future children, so they don’t struggle like I do with my lack of palette.
I have been avoiding taking responsibility towards actually working on my goals. I’ve been wasting time on mindless TV when I can reading/learning. I did take a break off social media, and I’m gonna continue that into the new year so I can focus on my true goals and stop mindless scrolling.
I am calling in confidence and consistency. I am focusing on my goals and how to make them fun. I am focusing on all of the joys in every day life. I am calling in peaceful energy, and I’m letting go of anxieties about things beyond my control.
I decided to take December off of social media, so I deleted Instagram off of my phone. I already had Facebook deleted as I barely go on there, but I did go on once I had our wedding photos and that’s when I found myself back in a cycle of constantly checking on my posts.
Yesterday my phone widget told me that the full moon was arriving today, so I had decided to re-download Instagram for the purpose of going to a specific astrology Instagram page I follow (Sisters Village- I know I’ve mentioned them before) for the full moons tasks/prompts. Luckily it was easy to just go on and get off- literally I just logged in, got my screenshots of her page, and re-deleted the app.
Below is the checklist she posted for the full moon, and as you’ll see, I was already checking #2 off the list! I love when things like this happen, because it feels like a sign that I am in alignment. I’ve been trying to be very mindful and present these past few weeks, and I have been feeling good mentally, and I want to keep up with this especially during this winter season.
Ironically enough, when I went to screenshot her post, I had just finished cleaning the bathroom, which included decluttering the linen closet and getting rid of old towels. I recently had decluttered our kitchen and downstairs closet as well, and honestly it feels so good to just get rid of things that we don’t use. So now I just have to work on bullet points 3 and 4!
I did recently get to connect with my family in Iowa since I took a trip out there last weekend to see Wicked with my Grandma! I’ve been kind of connecting more with myself than with friends though, but it is purposeful for this short period of time. I take a while to recharge and get back in tune with myself, and since this entire year was so busy with friends and family with the whole wedding happening, I’m really enjoying this quiet time with just myself and my husband.
I do want to connect with friends soon, and I have plans these next couple weekends to have fun, creative times with friends, but until then I’m gonna enjoy this weekend of peace and reconnecting with myself during this full moon. Below are the prompts that also came from that Instagram page, incase anyone else wants to join in with this time of reconnecting. Sending love to everyone this Sunday!
When it comes to new moons and full moons, I have been trying to make it a habit to do journal prompts from the Sisters Village instagram page. I find that her prompts are helpful and with her studying astrology, the prompts are on theme with what is going on in the celestial realm.
She writes down a to-do list which also often contains some sort of writing task, and her one she posted for today’s new moon said to write a gratitude list. I know I do that a lot here on my blog, but starting off the new month I think it’s a great time to sit and focus on what blessings surround us.
This December, I am grateful for:
My health/mental health. I can walk, talk, eat, and live life all on my own without assistance. I have access to doctors and my therapist who has especially helped me with my mental health over the past few years. I am no longer stuck in panic attacks or deep depression every day of my life, and I have learned so much about myself. This journey has only made me more curious and empathetic towards my mind and body, therefore allowing me to love myself.
My husband. I knew when I was 16 years old that I was going to marry my husband, and we finally tied the knot this year! Our wedding day was everything I ever dreamed of, and although the wedding was a huge highlight of our relationship, I am so thankful for the years of roots and foundation we built together. My husband was with me during some of the hardest parts of my life, and he never thought to leave or run away- instead he was my rock. He loved me for me and has always encouraged me to be my favorite version of myself- and I am that when I’m with him. I am so grateful for this love, and I pray everyone finds a healthy, strong love like this.
Our home. We bought our townhome over eight years ago, and I am still so happy with where we are. We have plenty of space, all of our appliances work, and we are blessed to be able to afford our mortgage and utilities. I always grew up in an apartment, and I am the only child, so I am the first person in my immediate family to purchase a home! I always wanted a home with a garage and I am lucky to say we have a two-car garage attached to our home. I am so thankful to have a warm place to sleep every night.
I am grateful to have such good friends, who truly love me and wish the best for me and my husband. I love friends who I can just talk to for hours, laughing a lot with no judgement. I love friends who are excited for my wins, just as much as I am excited for theirs, and overall I just enjoy the genuine love and support.
I could go on and on, but instead I’m gonna post a couple of the slides from that Sisters Village page, that way if anyone else wants to join along in some journaling/reflecting, you can!
As part of my new moon ritual, I’ll journal these other prompts in my actual writing diary today with some incense and calming music. Sending everyone so much love this holiday season, and I hope December is filled with love, miracles and joy! ✨
The energy of today is to take out the trash! Release anything no longer serving you. Look at your routines, your relationships, your inner dialogue- what needs to be released so that you can feel lighter and more free?
The astrology accounts I see talk about big changes and breakthroughs coming with eclipses, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling the chaotic energy. It’s heavy, but energizing- it feels like it fuels whatever the focus is on.
The other thing about eclipses is to release expectations, but also expect the unexpected. Remember all is happening for you, and the universe has a plan that you may not understand in this moment, but this is all important for your transformation.
I’m releasing the need to control. I’m releasing negative thoughts and resentment. I am releasing the negative beliefs that linger in the depths of my mind. I am releasing the tension that resides in my shoulders and jaw, as well as the tension in the rest of my body. I am releasing the need to have any external approval or validation. I am releasing any negative judgements towards myself and others. I am releasing all that does not serve my highest self.
Sending love to all and here’s to everyone having a positively transformative eclipse season!
I know most people feel like today is superstitious and unlucky, but I am the opposite. Today I am feeling blessed, grateful, and overall full of love! The wedding is only 19 days away and I am so ready to be married to my fiancé.
I also cannot get over that we’re getting married on our 13th anniversary, and 13 has always been his lucky number. We also happen to have a new moon solar eclipse the day of our wedding! Although we won’t see the eclipse, it’s exciting to have a celestial event going on during our special day!
Everything feels like divine timing and alignment, and I am so happy to be present to it all.
With these words, I cleanse my mind, body and soul of all negativity and limiting beliefs that are blocking me from my full potential. I call my energy back to me, purified and wrapped in abundance, allowing me to feel refreshed and recharged. This life is worth living, not just being a fearful bystander; I am deserving of a peaceful, fulfilling life.
I am so grateful for this life I have. I am marrying the love of my life: my high school sweetheart. Literally the dreams I had as a teenager are coming to fruition, and I have been living the dreams for so many years now. I am blessed that I wake up next to him every day in our comfortable bed. We are so lucky to have our home together, along with our three beautiful cats. Mushu is actually laying on me as I type this right now.
I am grateful to be in a great work environment after so many years of toxic bosses and coworkers. I actually enjoy going to work and am happy with the owners, and I feel like I am meant to be there. I am happy that I am appreciated- I was even given a surprise raise after five months of being at this office! I am just feeling so very blessed to have this job.
I am grateful to have so many good friends, and also for the fact that I still have a lot of my family around. I have clothes to wear and food in my fridge. The lights are on and the water is running, and the bills are paid. This life is beautiful and abundant- and I am forever grateful for it. I am grateful to have worked on my mental health enough to be present for these blessings around me. I am grateful to be supported and guided by my angels; by source.
Channeled Message: We are all the sun, the moon, and the stars. We are all living and breathing and ever-changing beings, all with the same energy of love within us. For some it is buried beneath trauma. For some it is buried beneath ego. For some it may feel like it does not exist, but it does. We are all love and light, and the sooner we tap into it, the better the world will be.
I am so proud of myself for having hard conversations and speaking up even when it was uncomfortable. I am proud of putting my healing and goals ahead of my feelings, and actually stepping into my authentic self. I am proud of how dedicated I have been to the things I care most about: my relationship with my life partner, and my mental health. I can trust myself to follow through, and I can trust that I can get through anything. I choose faith over fear and I prioritize peace and love.
This full moon, I release any negative thoughts and self doubt that is limiting me from reaching my goals. I release the fears and worries that reside in my mind, as they were never mind to hold onto. I release the need for approval and for perfection, as I have had everything I’ve needed within me all along. I release what is no longer serving me or my authentic self, and I step into the person I am meant to be.
