Expressing Gratitude

blog

How do you express your gratitude?

When it comes to thanking someone for a gift, I always like to send a hand written thank you note. I’ll always thank someone in person as well and usually give them a hug, but there’s something special about sending out a note that I prefer.

As far as expressing gratitude in a general sense, I love writing down the things I am grateful for. I also will find myself talking out loud to the universe about the people and things I am grateful for as well, typically when I’m alone in my car LOL.

Since today’s theme is gratitude, here are 10 things I am feeling grateful for this morning:

  1. my husband/our marriage
  2. our home
  3. our health
  4. our cats
  5. our jobs
  6. good music
  7. the sun (sunrises/sunsets/sunshine)
  8. genuine friendships
  9. iced coffee
  10. podcasts

Worries (Prompt)

blog

What are you most worried about for the future?

Over the years, I have been actively trying to surrender to faith and re-route my thoughts when I find myself worried about the future. It’s so easy to go into a worry spirals- asking all the “what ifs,” but now I try to think “what if it all works out and my current worrying is just preventing my peace?”

Let’s be real though, ya girl still has worries LOL. I’d say the main ones are the huge ones like:

• Which of my parents will pass first- how to handle supporting the other one

• What will happen with my brother-in-law when my MIL/FIL pass away in the future

• Will my husband and I be able to have children

Good Morning, July!

blog

May July bring clarity and peace to all those who are needing a little extra.

May July bring answered prayers and blessings to those who have been waiting.

May July bring warmth, love and abundance to those who have been sharing their own warmth and love.

May July open doors that you never knew could open, and may you be brave enough to walk through them and claim the life you deserve.

Surgery

blog

Have you ever had surgery? What for?

In April of this year, I had a Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, and nasal tissue reduction. I did this as I had tonsils that were continuously infected and filled with tonsil stones. The nasal tissue reduction helps me to breathe better through my nose! The recovery process was horrible considering I’m about to be 30, but I’m glad it’s over with!

once I was back at home (day of surgery)

Happy Friday!! Lorde’s new album came out! I have already listened through twice considering it is only 35 minutes long, and I love it! I have a nail appointment today, and we’re going to our friend’s game night tonight, and then tomorrow morning I get my hair done and we have another friend’s house-warming party! It’s going to be a great weekend! Who else has fun weekend plans??

Thursday AM Thoughts

blog

I saw this post that said something along the lines of “start thinking of people as energy, you’ll spend your time wiser.” There’s just no point in spending time with energy vampires, all they do is suck the light out of you.

High school never ends until you decide it does. No matter where you work or where you further your education, you’ll have people around you who still want to spread lies and drama as a form of their own entertainment. It is up to you if you’re going to feed into that energy.

Gratitude is a magical thing. I find that I am so much more present and happy when I practice daily gratitude.

Success and being “rich” looks different to everyone- get specific with yourself about your dream life. What does it look like?

Love is always the answer, and I believe that no amount of material items could replace the feeling of genuine love and connection.
