What’s something you believe everyone should know.
That the more we heal ourselves and are able to view ourselves with love and grace, the more we can see the world and others the same way. Hurt people hurt people, and we all deserve to heal and care about ourselves so we can give that same care to others.
It means that you still believe there is magic in the world. It may not look like fairies and wizards, but it can be felt in the most precious moments. It’s recognizing that laughter really is the best medicine, and doing the things that bring true joy to your soul. Being a kid at heart just means you haven’t let the cruel parts of the world dim your light.
The sun is shining and my iced coffee was extra satisfying this morning, so no complaints here. What you focus on expands, so keep that in mind today while you let your thoughts wander. May you find beauty and peace in the most unexpected places, and may you give yourself the same love and grace you give others. Sending love and positivity to everyone this Sunday. ♡
You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?
When I think of genie wishes, I just remember that you have to be very careful with your wording and be specific as possible, as they take your words literally. With that being said, my three wishes would be as follows:
I wish to live a long, healthy life with my husband where we both feel happy and fulfilled with each others love, and that we are able to have our own healthy children and create a loving family.
I wish that no one had the desire, thought or ability to abuse any infant/child in any capacity (mentally, physically, sexually, emotionally).
I wish for world peace in the sense that all humans recognize that we are indeed all humans who bleed red, and we no longer wish to harm and hate one another, but instead lean into curiosity and empathy to build a loving, peaceful world.
Today is a gorgeous day and I am just so happy that I get to spend the day with my husband. I’m currently in the waiting room just to get some routine labs, and afterwards we’re planning to get breakfast and just have a relaxing day! We’re hoping to break into the Hogwarts Lego set that we were gifted for our wedding! We also are planning to get our thank you cards done this weekend as well.
Since gratitude always makes life so much better, I’m just going to list some of the things that I am feeling thankful for lately:
-the relationship I have with my husband
-my friendships
-our supportive family
-having a reliable vehicle (shoutout to the automatic start now that it’s in the 30s in the am)
-my health / mental health
-access to water and food
-our home
-mel robbins podcast
-qveen herby’s music
-dunkin iced coffee
-the photo app Lapse (it’s basically a digital disposable camera- see photos below)
9/11/2001. I was 6 years old, sitting at the table at home working on my assignments (at the time I was home-schooled by my mom.) I remember her sitting in the living room listening to the radio and suddenly saying “what?!” and turning on the TV and seeing the second tower get hit. She was very visibly panicked and started making phone calls to family and friends. I don’t really remember a lot after that, whether I finished my assignments or not (I honestly probably did), but I will never forget that day.
