At first I was like I really can’t think of anything, but in reality that’s not completely true. I could talk a lot about dental insurance from the aspect of working within a dental office. I can talk about my own healing journey from growing up with alcoholic parents as well. I also could discuss relationship advice, but again based on my own relationship/marriage with my husband. I guess I still wouldn’t say I’m an authority on any of these subjects though because it’s all based on my own experience, rather than hard facts and research.
This weekend is busy, but it’s full of so much joy which is much needed. Yesterday was the 4th, so we went over to our friend’s house as they were hosting a BBQ. It was so nice to hang with everyone and also enjoy the bomb ass food!
Today my husband and I went to breakfast at our favorite place, and now we’re just chilling before I leave to hang with one of my other friends! I get to meet her new kitten today and we’re just gonna go with the glow and see where the day takes us! Part of me is hoping we go to the pool because it is hot and humid as hell today!
Tomorrow my husband has his go-karting league so I’m going to go watch him race! His friend who joined last time is going to race too, and this time his fiancé (also our friend) is going to join so her and I can grab a drink and watch our men do their thing!
The best part of all is my office is closed on Monday for construction so then I have a day to rest and recharge before the week! I’m just feeling so blessed and grateful to be present for the joy around me. July is feeling magical so far!
When it comes to thanking someone for a gift, I always like to send a hand written thank you note. I’ll always thank someone in person as well and usually give them a hug, but there’s something special about sending out a note that I prefer.
As far as expressing gratitude in a general sense, I love writing down the things I am grateful for. I also will find myself talking out loud to the universe about the people and things I am grateful for as well, typically when I’m alone in my car LOL.
Since today’s theme is gratitude, here are 10 things I am feeling grateful for this morning:
Over the years, I have been actively trying to surrender to faith and re-route my thoughts when I find myself worried about the future. It’s so easy to go into a worry spirals- asking all the “what ifs,” but now I try to think “what if it all works out and my current worrying is just preventing my peace?”
Let’s be real though, ya girl still has worries LOL. I’d say the main ones are the huge ones like:
• Which of my parents will pass first- how to handle supporting the other one
• What will happen with my brother-in-law when my MIL/FIL pass away in the future
In April of this year, I had a Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, and nasal tissue reduction. I did this as I had tonsils that were continuously infected and filled with tonsil stones. The nasal tissue reduction helps me to breathe better through my nose! The recovery process was horrible considering I’m about to be 30, but I’m glad it’s over with!
