What notable things happened today?

On my way to work this morning I could not get myself together, so I ended up texting my bosses and calling off. Last night we found out that my husband’s cousin lost her battle with cancer. Her health started to rapidly decline recently, and she passed away yesterday morning.

Grief is such a hard thing to navigate. One moment you’re frozen in shock; complete disbelief- almost numb. The next moment, all the emotions come crashing down and around you- completely engulfed in the heaviness. The next you start to think about how grateful you are to have had time with your loved one… to have had them there at your wedding only less than a year ago- then the sadness washes back.

I felt guilty for calling in and being an emotional wreck while my husband, the one who is blood related to his cousin, is at work and holding it together. We are here for each other, we comfort one another, yet I feel guilty for being the one who seems to need more of it. At the same time, I am just a feeling person. I’m sensitive and I love hard, so the loss is hard.

I also am spiritual, unlike my husband, and I right after we found out about his cousin’s passing, I had to tell him about the butterfly I saw. When I was at work yesterday morning, a large, gorgeous black butterfly flew over to the window by my desk. I honestly don’t recall ever seeing a black butterfly before, and definitely not one of this size. I was so amazed and captivated by this butterfly that I couldn’t help but just be in that moment.

When we found out about her passing, after the initial shock and tears I thought about that butterfly. I couldn’t help but think… was that her? This brought a moment of peace amidst the grief: she was telling me that she was still here with me (us) but in a different form now.

Today I am sitting in the grief. I am releasing the guilt and shame about how I grieve. I am not ashamed of how deeply I feel and how much I love people. As a child I was often shamed for my big emotions, which is where this icky feeling stems from; but I know I am not being dramatic. I am being human.

Today I am also leaning into my spirituality and beliefs in our angels on the other side. The signs I see are clear to me, and I know that our loved one is watching us and supporting us from the other side. She had so much love for us here earth-side, so I can only imagine the power of her divine love.

We have a winter storm advisory in our area today that starts soon and I have to head into work. I always get anxious when it comes to snow and bad weather, mainly because it is beyond my control and I get scared of accidents- but I have to remind myself that I have been driving in the midwest weather for over a decade and have survived this many years.

I have to hand over my worries to the universe and trust in myself and my car that I will get to my destinations safely. I am a good driver, and I also am surrounded by my angels at all times- I will be okay. I trust that all is well and all will be fine. Thank you, Universe, for all of your support and protection.

January 11 (111)

blog

I woke up so excited to the sun shining after how dull and gloomy it was yesterday. I also am so excited that today is one of my favorite angel numbers: 1/11!

111 symbolizes new beginnings, but also being in touch with your intuition. I see 111 a lot, and I even saw in on a license plate less than an hour before my husband was proposing to me! I understand that scientifically seeing these repetitive numbers is just because of neuroplasticity (like when you’re thinking about buying a certain car & then you see it everywhere on the road), but I still feel magic and love when I see angel numbers.

I want to take this time for a prayer for new beginnings in humanity:

I pray that empathy and curiosity become more prevalent than judgement and resentment. I pray that kindness and love is the most common practice in this world, removing all of the negativity and evilness. I pray that everyone who is in need is given access to what they need to not only survive, but thrive. I pray that we truly connect with each other and our world, rather than having superficial connections based on views and followers. I pray that humans recognize that there is strength in numbers, and together we can make change in this world.

I always say that we are more alike than we are different. We all have traumas, we all have stories, we all have emotions, and we all have the ability to learn and adapt. As we learn more about our experiences and how they impacted us, the more we can heal and learn to truly love ourselves. When we are feeling full of love and gratitude, we can pour that same energy into others and into this world.

Sending extra love to everyone this lovely Saturday, and wishing everyone a happy 111!

Protected and Blessed

4:44 is the angel number that symbolizes protection. when we were planning our wedding, we never anticipated that a hurricane would form and hit Florida a few days prior to our arrival. we were incredibly lucky that hurricane Helene did not touch Pensacola Beach, and our wedding went on as planned. 🤍

after we spent time in Pensacola, we headed over to Orlando to enjoy our Harry Potter package we bought and we had the best time riding all the rides, buying Harry Potter gear, and just enjoying each others company as a husband and wife. a couple days after we arrived, we got word that hurricane Milton was now forming and also heading toward Florida. this caused initial panic considering we are not trying to be in the middle of this storm, but at the same time, I couldn’t help but thank the universe.

I say that because when we had originally planned this trip in April, we had booked to stay in Orlando until October 11. A few weeks after we booked it, we changed our minds and decided to cut off a couple days and rescheduled to come home today. I can’t help but feel like the divine stepped in with this plan, because the Orlando airport is shutting down tomorrow in anticipation of hurricane Milton, which means we would have been stuck in FL.

I have been on a healing journey for a while now, but within this last year I have been more dedicated to my faith in angels/source/the universe- and I can’t help but feel so blessed and protected by the divine. I always struggled with faith and letting go of control, but I have learned so much over this year, and truly in these past few weeks, that has only increased my faith in a higher power.

I feel incredibly blessed and lucky that my husband and I have landed safely back in our home town, and I feel so grateful for whatever is above that is watching over us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🤍✨

Synchronicities

blog

I’ve always seen certain numbers, such as 911, 1111, 731 (my birthday), 1002 (anniversary) and 1106(my boyfriend’s birthday). I started reading a bit about “Angel numbers,” and just learning about these synchronicities, and it’s actually kind of wild to me how much I’m noticing around me as I focus more on my true goals and intentions.

Now, literally every single day, I’ve been seeing synchronicities such as 111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 1234… and it’s literally all the time! It’s typically on the clock or I’ll see them on license plates, or it’s the time I send an important message. Of course many people, including my boyfriend, don’t believe any of this is correlated and everything is just a coincidence, but I am not too sure with how consistent this has been.

Has anyone else had any experience or know much about this? I’m interested to hear stories or even people who are opposed to these types of things!
