Tell us one thing you hope people say about you.
I hope people say that they can tell that I care deeply and that I am someone who they can be themselves around and not feel judged. I don’t focus much on what strangers think, but I do hope my friends and loved ones can feel my love and appreciation for them.
Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
I have only performed on stage in an elementary school play, and I very clearly remembering only having one line LOL. I was never a theater kid or a performer really, as I tried to stay out of the spotlight. As far as speeches, those also only existed in my high school and community college career.
What are your favorite physical activities or exercises?
I always enjoy a nice walk through the park, especially on a warm, sunny day. I also enjoy rollerblading, and I prefer to do that at an actual rink. Other activities that came to mind that I haven’t done in a while include ice-skating and swimming.
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
When others dedicate their time to making other people’s lives easier and more meaningful. When they offer research and resources to truly change someone’s life, without requiring a bunch of money or an online course (LOL but also seriously).
What’s your favorite cartoon?
I watched a lot of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel as a child, and one of my favorite cartoons was Rocket Power. I remember getting a pair of Rocket Power rollerblades, as well as a backpack and I was absolutely elated!
What could you do less of?
Worrying about things beyond my control.
What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?
I feel like I just did a post like this but here’s a quick list since I’m visiting with my grandma today before we go see the Wicked movie! This year I:
Do you ever see wild animals?
Animals I typically see out are the regular birds, squirrels, bunnies and deer. We also live near some farms so I often drive by cows, horses, chickens and sheep! I love seeing all the sheep.
Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
My first thought when I read this was Aruba. Just over five years ago my husband and I went on a cruise where Aruba was one of the stops, and we were absolutely in love. The clear blue water, the beach, the weather… we kept saying we would get married in Aruba and couldn’t wait to go back.
Shortly after that cruise, Covid happened. We had let our passports expire in 2021 since we figured we probably still wouldn’t leave the country for a while still with just the state of the world and what not, and low and behold we got married in Pensacola Beach Florida, so now we can renew them and I can get my new passport with my new last name!
Speaking of Pensacola Beach, that was the very next thought that popped into my head after thinking that Aruba was my favorite place I visited. Of course Pensacola now has a special place in my heart considering we got married there, but honestly I look forward more to returning there than to Aruba. Pensacola has the gorgeous white sandy beaches, the calm energy, and the hotel we stayed at had ocean views on both sides- it truly just felt so peaceful.
Overall, I’d go back to Pensacola Beach before I’d go to Aruba- so that is my favorite place I’ve visited.
