What colleges have you attended?
I went to one community college and got my associates degree and then stopped as I needed to work full time to pay bills being out on my own. I paid for my degree outright with no loans! So proud of that.

Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?
When I am dancing and singing around the house, I consider that to be playtime. I love just being goofy and enjoying good music. I also love when I can do some vision boarding/collages as I feel like I’m in elementary school again! This year I started a journal that way I can fill the pages with visions and goals throughout the year!

What makes you feel nostalgic?
I feel nostalgic whenever I go to a roller rink or when I hear some early 2000s Outkast and Black Eyed Peas. Also we had disposable cameras at our Til Death Do Us Party, and that gave me such a sense of nostalgia.

What are your biggest challenges?
I’d say one of my biggest challenges is getting into healthy routines like working out and cooking. I never grew up eating super healthy or watching anyone prioritize health, wellness or the importance of movement. It’s something I want to do, and I have slowly been working towards.
Part of the reason this is a challenge is due to another issue I struggle with: lack of self trust. I am someone who feels better when I am in control, and I am someone who can be very hard on myself. With those things being said, I have definitely taken a diet a little too seriously in the past, and it was very unhealthy. I was losing weight and seeing results, and people around me were commenting and encouraging me- but in reality I was barely taking in 800 calories a day, and I was extremely strict with myself.
I know that if I want to be healthy, it has to be a lifestyle that I live. It can’t be something that I am tracking and counting; it can’t come from me shaming myself, it has to come from love. I want to love myself and my body enough to feed it the nutrients it truly needs and to workout regularly. I also want to trust myself to be able to make a change without becoming obsessed. Luckily I am still in therapy, and I get to see my therapist on Friday so we can discuss the goals for this new year.
If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be?
Mascot has got to be the Angels- and colors are white and gold.🤍✨
You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?
I’m picturing a sun room/library/plant vibe going on. I want at one wall that is filled with books from floor to ceiling. I want big open windows, maybe even a glass door that goes out onto a patio with a cute hammock swing and a garden. I wand shelving on another wall for some indoor plants and cute decor. I’d have a comfy love seat that’s a light pink or maybe a beige color – I picture it being kinda shaggy like. I also need a cute coffee table and overhead lighting. I also want a standing desk for my writing!
What is your all time favorite automobile?
This is definitely a prompt for my husband, because I don’t know shxt about cars. He loves them though- hence our ‘92 miata chilling in the garage waiting to be worked on LOL. I know his dream is some sort of Ferrari; of course I have no clue which model, but I remember we saw one parked up near our favorite breakfast spot and my husband was so excited to see it.
As for me, I like dreaming big too, and I love the looks of the Mercedes G-Wagon. I realize there’s so many models and what not and also I realize I will never have this car unless I am literally rich af, but ooooooof I’d love driving around in one of those. I love the desert sand color or the kalahari gold.

How are you creative?
I’m creative when I am writing poetry. I’m not someone who can draw well, and I haven’t really tried painting or any other artistic style. Writing is always my go-to.

Who are the biggest influences in your life?
I’d say Amy Noonan (Qveen Herby) is a big influence in my life. I absolutely love how she basically has created her own genre of music (affirmation, witchy rap) and the messages she spreads through her lyrics. Some of my favorite lyrics from her are:
“I never fail at nothing, I only learn.”
“Got no enemies is sight of me; every adversary came here to enlighten me.”
“Cynicism would be easy, but I never took the easy road. Bitch, when I let the old patterns die, that’s when I found happiness arrives.”
Overall she’s just an inspiring woman who reminds us to come home to ourselves and be confident in who we are. She’s 38 and doing shows with fancy costumes and props that she designs herself, and she does not give a f*ck what others think of her, because she is living her purpose.
I’m so glad I was able to see her live this year right before my birthday!

Share what you know about the year you were born.
According to my mother, it was the hottest summer in the state in decades and of course I was born at the tail end of July LOL. I also know Lion King must have recently come out, because Simba was my first stuffed animal (now that I looked that up, Lion King was 1994, I was born in 1995- not shocking it stayed popular for a while).
